Five hot spots in Norfolk!

In the culture filled City of Norfolk, (yes were serious, don’t act surprised!) one can hardly experience everything there is to offer within one trip through the city adorned with mermaid statues in varying styles. As a result of this, we here at Yaloha have compiled a short list of a few spots that we consider “go to” spots! Enjoy!

TOAST – Toast is an absolutely fantastic spot in Ghent, Norfolk, for the avid bread lover. This local bar and restaurant bakes its own bread and then creates delicious toast. Everything from a simple cinnamon sugar toast to a chicken liver with apricot preserves and parsley (We know, amazing, right?) is available to order. Beyond their amazing menu and delectable drinks, Toast offers a unique back patio with train cars and a fire pit to the night-lifer who wants a homey approach to a night out.

Chrysler Museum of Art – If you’re looking for a breathtaking experience, look no further. This art museum rests on the border of downtown Norfolk and Ghent. It is around 79 years old and holds an extensive collection of art pieces, with some interact exhibit located on the lower floor. It sits upon a small body of water known as the Hague, and offers beautiful views, inside and out.

Town Point Park – Located in Downtown Norfolk, this beautiful patch of green is home to many festivals, concerts, and other events. For your trip, refer to the Yaloha calendar and you’ll likely see an even there nearly every weekend! Each event generally comes with food stands and merchandise, as well as being in walking distance to many fun shops, restaurants, bars, and theaters.

Saint Germaine – Located in Downtown Norfolk, Saint Germain offers an upscale dining experience with delectable treats of every kind. Heirloom toffee popcorn, orange blossom loukaniko sausage, and other various high-end foods are served by cheerful staff in this unique setting. Everything tastes delicious, and the environment is very classy.

Norfolk Botanical Garden – Self explanatory in name, this gorgeous plot of land carries many different species of flower, bush, tree, and root plant. There are many displays, and this is a popular spot for weddings, upscale gatherings, and is an excellent spot for a romantic day out. There are many exhibits, both indoors and outdoors. It is a truly pure and beautiful place to visit.
